Jay T. Kearney, PhD

Jay T. Kearney, PhD is a Senior consultant for Osprey Leadership Consulting, Inc.  He has been working in the area of elite performance for over 30 years serving both Olympic level coaches and athletes as well as senior executives to maximize their potential for world class performances.

Jay T. is the High Performance Director for one of the Sport Performance Teams at the USOC where he coordinates access to and application of performance services ranging from sports medicine and science to nutrition and performance technology.

Jay T. holds a B.S. from the State University of New York (Health and Physical Education Minor: Biological Sciences), a M.S. from the University of Maryland (Exercise physiology) and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland (Exercise physiology).

Jay T. grew up on a dairy farm in Western New York with 4 brothers and one sister.  Outdoor and sporting activities were always a large part of his life.

Starting in 1990 Jay T. and his wife started visiting the coast of Maine in the summers and developed a great love for the coast of Maine and the coastal life.  They purchased a summer home in Stonington in 2004 and became full-time residents in 2010.  Since moving here full time Jay T. has been hard at work renovating and adding onto a wonderful Victorian overlooking the harbor.  Recreational pursuits include sea kayaking, sailing on their Sabre 28 and spending time on their refurbished 1958 Boothbay ’33 lobster yacht.

Leigh and Jay T. share a blended family of 3 girls and 1 son, 4 grandchildren and are expecting 2 new grandchildren in 2016.
